Cerro Porteño vs Universidad Católica
La Olla, Asunción
07/08/2013; 19:15 (00:15 BST)
Preliminary Round, 2nd Leg (AGG 1-1)
TV: Fox Sports (Latin America)
Following a good game that ultimately ended in a draw, Cerro Porteño are hoping to finish the job with a victory in front of a 20,000 strong crowd who will fill La Olla tonight. El Ciclón will also draw optimism from their recent home record in this tournament, they have won their previous four matches in Asunción and have only lost once in the previous nine, a semi-final defeat to Fluminense in the 2009 edition of the competition.
The same team from the first leg will line up, Oscar Romero is the man to watch, he followed up his great goal against Guaraní with two assists in the win against Cerro de Franco on Sunday. In defence both Paredes and Cardozo looked solid despite being tested by the movement of Castillo and Junior Alonso scored his first senior goal at the weekend which must be a huge confidence boost.
There was plenty from Católica in the first leg to see what a good team they have but there was a feeling that Cerro were on top when the ball was in the air and having seen the azulgrana score two headed goals at the weekend it will be a worry for the Chileans. Mirosevic, Castillo and Muñoz are the key men with Católica knowing they have to score to have any chance of progressing.
Cerro Porteño XI (probable): Roberto Fernández; Carlos Bonet, Teodoro Paredes, Luis Cardozo, Junior Alonso; Mathías Corujo, Fidencio Oviedo, Julio Dos Santos, Óscar Romero; Ángel Romero, Guillermo Beltrán
Uni Catolica XI (probable): Cristopher Toselli; Cristian Alvarez, Hans Martinez, Enzo Andia, Aflonso Parot; Michael Rios, Tomas Costa, Fernando Cordero, Milovan Mirosevic; Nicolas Castillo, Jose Luis Muñoz
Selected Odds: Cerro Poretño win 2.34, Draw 3.5, Uni Catolica win 3.25, 2-1 home win 9.8, Over 2.5 goals 2.02
Best Bet: Cerro to win at home considering they’ve won their previous four in this tournament is HUGE VALUE!
